Engineering and Physical Sciences may not require on-campus

Blended
Course:

Offered partially online and may include some on-campus
meetings as determined by the course and instructor.

Most blended courses are designated with either a HY (hybrid) or
FV (Far View) in the course section number in the Time and
Room Schedule. (Example: 575.1HY or 418.1FV) Unless otherwise noted.

Far View courses are offered by the College of Engineering

Asynchronous vs.
Synchronous

Asynchronous: communication and collaboration over a period of time through a "different time-different place" mode, allowing people to connect together at each person's own convenience and own schedule.

Synchronous: real-time communication and collaboration in a "same time-different place" mode, allowing people to connect at a single point in time, at the same time. In other words, you will participate online at a regular specified day and time.
