Undergraduate Level Courses
Undergraduate courses (numbered 200-799) are open to individuals who hold a high school diploma or GED. Individuals not enrolled in a degree program may register for a maximum of 11 credits in the fall or spring. Registering for 12 or more credits requires special permission. Please note special permission is not required to exceed the 11 credit limit during the summer.

Individuals enrolled in a degree program are limited to 12 credits in the summer. Dean's permission is required to exceed that credit limit.

High school juniors and seniors with strong academic skills may apply for permission to enroll in 400-500 level undergraduate courses in the fall or spring through the CATS program. In the summer, students must submit written permission from their high school guidance counselor or principal to the Registrar's office at the time of registration (no application required).

Graduate Level Courses
Graduate courses (numbered 800-999) are open to individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Individuals not enrolled in a degree program may register for a maximum of 8 credits in the fall or spring. Registering for 9 or more credits require special permission. Please note special permission is not required to exceed the 8 credit limit during the summer.

Individuals enrolled in a degree program are limited to 12 credits in the summer. Dean's permission is required to exceed that credit limit.
